I’m quite disturbed by this – I saw it on TV tonight shortly after the discussion about protests and puppets. There is something scary in the commercial. That it’s selling vodka furthers the problem for me.

i do get the whole unarmed resistance standing in the face of authority, and then unexpectantly they face each other with the same weapon, equally… i do hate that its an alcohol ad… i dont know if this devalues the process of protest or not… the first blow comes from the side of the protestor blah blah blah
what i do find interesting is for me, i instantly thought back to france 2005, because of the song… being french and all… i looked up the lyrics and with the lyrics and the idea of muted violence it seemed even a more defined idea…
